UnicodeNow Terms of Use
These Terms govern access to and use of UnicodeNow tools, pages, documentation and generated output.

Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using UnicodeNow, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Eligibility
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms to use UnicodeNow. If you use the site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. UnicodeNow does not currently publish a specific minimum age requirement or a list of restricted jurisdictions; this section will be updated if a legally reviewed requirement is established.
Description of the service
UnicodeNow provides Unicode converters, character lookup and inspection tools, sequence and text analyzers, text-cleaning tools, encoders and decoders, developer utilities, and technical guides and documentation.
Some tools run entirely in your browser; others, such as search and lookup pages, use server-side processing. Tool behavior can depend on your browser, installed fonts, operating system, the Unicode data version in use, and other implementation details. Individual tool pages may document more specific behavior than this general description. See Methodology for how tools are implemented and Data Sources for the Unicode data versions in use.
Permitted use
You may use UnicodeNow for personal purposes, education, software development, testing, research, internal business workflows, content preparation, and accessibility or internationalization work, subject to applicable law, these Terms, third-party rights, and reasonable service limits.
Prohibited use
You agree not to use UnicodeNow for anything illegal, to attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts, to disrupt or degrade the service, to circumvent security measures or rate limits, to distribute malware, to generate excessive traffic that harms availability for other users, to impersonate another person or entity, to infringe intellectual-property rights, to misrepresent affiliation with UnicodeNow, or to misrepresent affiliation with Unicode, Inc.
This does not prohibit legitimate security research, accessibility testing, anti-phishing research, or Unicode diagnostics merely because they involve confusable characters, bidirectional controls, or other characters this site's tools are designed to analyze.
Automated access and rate limits
UnicodeNow does not currently provide a guaranteed public API unless a page or documentation explicitly states otherwise. Endpoints under /api/v1/ exist and are technically reachable, but they are not published as a supported, versioned API product, and they may change without notice. Requests to these endpoints are limited to 120 requests per minute per IP address; requests beyond that limit receive an HTTP 429 response. Automated or bulk requests that degrade service availability for other users are prohibited.
Tool input
You are responsible for the text you enter into UnicodeNow tools and must have the right to process it. Do not enter sensitive data such as passwords, authentication tokens, private keys or medical information into server-assisted tools, since that data may be transmitted to and briefly processed by the server. Browser-local processing does not protect against malicious browser extensions, clipboard managers, or an already-compromised device. See the Privacy Policy for how each tool actually handles input.
Generated and transformed output
Output is derived from the text you enter and the operation you select. You may generally use the output you generate, subject to applicable law and any third-party rights in the underlying content you submitted. UnicodeNow does not guarantee that generated output is unique or free of third-party rights, and you are responsible for reviewing and testing it before relying on it. Unicode data, standards, and third-party libraries or datasets referenced by this site may carry their own separate terms; see Data Sources.
Accuracy and review of results
UnicodeNow tools are provided for convenience, analysis and reference. Results may be incomplete, outdated, browser-dependent or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Review and test all output before relying on it in production or other important workflows.
Unicode data can change between versions; browser APIs may use a different Unicode version than the data bundled with this site; glyph appearance depends on fonts and operating systems; segmentation and word counts may vary by browser and locale; normalization and cleanup operations can change text representation; removing invisible characters may alter meaningful text in some languages; and security-oriented diagnostics (such as mixed-script or confusable-character detection) do not guarantee that text is safe.
No professional advice
UnicodeNow does not provide legal advice, security certification, compliance certification, medical advice, financial advice, or accessibility certification. You remain responsible for your own professional, legal, security and compliance decisions.
Intellectual property
UnicodeNow's branding, site design, original articles and proprietary site code are owned by UnicodeNow or its licensors. The site also uses open-source software components and third-party libraries, each under their own license. UnicodeNow does not claim ownership of official Unicode standards or official Unicode data; UnicodeNow is an independent website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Unicode, Inc. Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Site content may not be republished wholesale without permission, except where a specific license permits it.
You may submit feedback or suggestions through the contact page. UnicodeNow may use that feedback to improve the service without an obligation to compensate you. This does not apply to confidential information or to the text you process through a tool.
Third-party content and services
UnicodeNow may link to independent third-party sites, which have their own terms and privacy policies; a link does not imply endorsement. This site also relies on third-party open-source libraries and official Unicode Character Database files (see Data Sources). UnicodeNow is not responsible for the availability or content of third-party sites or services.
Service availability and changes
UnicodeNow may modify, suspend or discontinue features, datasets or pages. Continuous, uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. Tool behavior may change when implementations or Unicode versions change; limits may be introduced to protect service availability; maintenance may temporarily interrupt access; and deprecated tools may be redirected or removed. Advance notice of changes is not promised unless a specific notice policy is published elsewhere.
Privacy
Use of UnicodeNow is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains browser-local tools, server-assisted searches, technical logs, analytics, cookies and browser storage.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, UnicodeNow is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. UnicodeNow does not warrant that the service will be accurate, complete, compatible with every system, uninterrupted, or error-free; that defects will be corrected; that Unicode behavior will be identical across every browser, font or operating system; or that the site is free from every possible harmful component.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UnicodeNow and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from reliance on tool output, data loss, lost profits, business interruption, compatibility failures, or security incidents caused by misuse of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Suspension and termination
UnicodeNow may restrict or block access for abuse, security threats, excessive automated traffic, attempts to bypass limits, violations of law, violations of these Terms, or conduct that threatens other users or service availability. UnicodeNow does not currently offer user accounts, so there is no account to terminate; access restrictions apply at the network or request level. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections of these Terms intended to survive discontinued use, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, remain effective where applicable.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when the service, legal requirements or business practices change. The latest revision date appears at the top of this page. There is not currently an automated notification mechanism for Terms changes; check this page directly for the current version.
